Michael Adams is a lawyer and registered patent and trademark agent in Canada whose practice includes intellectual property litigation and the drafting and prosecution of patent, trade-mark, copyright, and industrial design applications.
Michael has been with Riches, McKenzie & Herbert LLP since articling in 2004 and was called to the bar in 2005. Michael became a partner at Riches, McKenzie & Herbert LLP in 2011.
Michael has successfully represented clients before the Trademark Opposition Board, the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. Michael has also drafted patent, trademark, copyright and industrial design applications for a variety of clients from multinationals to single inventors.
Michael completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University in 2000 and a degree in Mathematical Science also from McMaster University in 2001. He earned a Juris Doctor from Queen’s University in 2004.
