Michael Schwartz is an IP lawyer whose practice includes intellectual property litigation and the drafting and prosecution of patent applications.
Michael earned his Juris Doctor (with an area of concentration in Intellectual Property, Information and Technology) in 2016 from Western University and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2017. Prior to that, Michael earned degrees in Genetics (2009) from Western University and Cell and Systems Biology (2012) from the University of Toronto. Michael has been with Riches, McKenzie & Herbert LLP since 2022.
Before joining the firm, Michael represented some of the world’s biggest innovative pharmaceutical companies in complex patent litigation cases. Michael also articled with the intellectual property group of a large international law firm.
Michael has successfully represented clients before the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal.
