Michelle Huong is an IP lawyer whose practice includes drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications for clients based in Canada, the U.S. and outside North America.
Michelle Huong completed her undergraduate degree in Genetics and Biotechnology in 2018 and her Juris Doctor in 2022, both at the University of Toronto. She has been with Riches, McKenzie & Herbert LLP since she was called to the bar in 2023. Prior to joining the firm, she summered and articled at an IP firm in downtown Toronto. During her years in law school, she was an active member of an IP legal clinic offering advice to innovators and start-ups. Her time as a research student at one of Canada’s largest pediatric research hospitals has shaped her interest in emerging technologies.
